En vilo (in der Schwebe) besteht aus einem Grundmodell und vier zunehmend verwachsenen Ableitungen. Das Modell baut auf oszillierenden Elementen in verschiedenen Zeitskalen auf. Ausgangspunkt und Grundmaterial des Stückes sind Schwebungen, die auftreten wenn die geringfügig unterschiedlichen Instrumente das selbe Material spielen.
